The Trans Van. A 1977 Chevy II camper—transitioned in 2012 and was active in trans pride until 2018.
An initiative of Miki Mappin with Gender Revolution and TransSask. It was part of a province-wide campaign that included flag raising, public open houses, meetings with MLAs and Cabinet Ministers, radio and TV interviews, trans radio stations, a massive online drive and a rally on the steps of the Saskatchewan Legislature. At the end of 2014, the Legislature amended the Human Rights Act to include gender identity. We continued to fight, and in the subsequent years gains were made in ID and health care.
